Quick and easy Chicken Lo Mein commonly known as Chow Mein is one of my favorite Chinese recipes. Now, make it at home instead of takeout. The homemade version not only tastes better but is also healthier. Chinese food is a great way to introduce more vegetables in our daily cooking routine. Even the kids eat them without complaining.
The best part about this recipe is that it can be made within minutes. Noodles; I think most of us have a noodle pack in our pantry. Whichever vegetable you can find in the fridge can go chop chop and into the pan. The aroma of Chinese food cooking in the kitchen lures everyone out of their secret hideouts. The plates are laid happily on the table even before the final touch of seasoning. I really hope that you love this recipe as much as my whole family does!
Cooking time: 25 minutes
- 100 g boneless chicken cubes
- 250 g Lomien noodles
- 1 carrot chopped
- 1 small cabbage chopped
- 2 spring onions chopped
- 1 capsicum chopped(optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chinese salt
- 3 tablespoons soya sauce
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 cup olive oil
Season the chicken cubes with salt and pepper and fry it in heated oil in a wok or pan. Stir in the vegetables and all the other ingredients(not noodles) and cook on medium heat for two minutes stirring continuously.
Cook the noodles in a separate pan according to the packaged instructions and drain well. Do not forget to rinse the noodles with cold water. Add the noodles in the wok and mix well for 1 minute. Delicious Chicken Lo Mein is ready to serve.
